Who we are

What we keep, and why

  • Your email address: when you join our newsletter, or give it before downloading a book. We use it to send you a short thank-you for each book you download, news about new books and printables, and the occasional note for families. Every email has a link to unsubscribe.
  • Your downloads:which books you downloaded and when, so the thank-you is for the right book and only comes once. Printables don't ask for your email: we only count how many times each one is downloaded.
  • “Remember my email on this device”:only if you tick it, your email is saved in your own browser, so your next book downloads skip the email box. It stays on your device and isn't sent anywhere by itself. “Not you?” under the Download button, or clearing your browser's data, removes it.
  • Messages: when you write to us on WhatsApp or by email, we see what you send (like your name, number and message) and only use it to reply.
  • Quran lesson requests:the form on our site doesn't save anything. It opens WhatsApp with your answers (including your child's first name and age), and you choose whether to send them. We only use them to arrange lessons.
  • Visiting the site:like every website, our servers keep basic technical records (such as your IP address and browser) for security. To understand how the site is used, we use Google Analytics: it sets cookies to count visits and see which pages are read, and shows us totals (like how many people visited, from which country), not who you are. We don't use advertising cookies.

Who helps us run the site

We never sell or share your information for marketing. A few trusted services help us run the site and only use it to do that job: our web hosting and database, Cloudflare (security, email forwarding, storing our books' files and pictures), Resend (sending our emails) and Google (our email inbox, and counting visits with Google Analytics). WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Your email stays on our list until you unsubscribe. After that, we keep it marked as unsubscribed, only so we never email you again by mistake, until you ask us to delete it. If you ask us to delete your information, your email is removed for good; your downloads stay in our counts, without your name. Messages are kept only as long as we need them to help you.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any of our emails. You can also ask us at any time to show you what we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Just email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can also contact the data protection authority where you live.

Children

Our site is for parents and teachers. We don't knowingly collect information from children, except a child's first name and age when a parent chooses to share them for lessons.

Changes

If we change how we use information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
